LHS General Meeting April 28th
"La Jolla: A Celebration of Its Past"
Richard White

At this month's General Meeting, we will be treated to a special presentation on the history of La Jolla.  Everyone knows about La Jolla's great climate, the ocean views, and beautiful natural setting, but there is much more to the story. Among other attractions are the world-famous institutions of higher learning and research, and an appreciation of the arts that has attracted many famous writers and actors to the seaside colony.

To fully appreciate the special qualities of this village, newcomers look to its rich history, in the form of newspaper articles and stories. In their new book, La Jolla: A Celebration Of Its Past, authors Patricia Daly-Lipe and Barbara Dawson have made that task a little easier.
Don't miss this one -- I'll see you there at 7:00 PM.
