Cedar Fire

So that the names of these victims not fade away with time, the Society is working to create a memorial marker that will keep these people alive in our memories and hearts.  We are hoping to have this remembrance placed in Stelzer Regional Park in Wild Cat Canyon (with County approval), the hardest hit area of Lakeside.  This marker's presence should be befitting the scale of this horrendous tragedy of lives lost here during the largest fire disaster in California's history.  So on behalf of the Lakeside Historical Society, I am asking the County of San Diego, our community, and Society members for their support to make this memorial a reality.  I feel that this project will help aid the healing process that most every one of us must endure.  Please send your donations to: Cedar Fire Memorial, c/o Lakeside Historical Society, 9906 Maine Avenue, Lakeside, CA 92040.  Make checks and money orders payable to: Lakeside Historical Society.  If you have any questions, you may call me at home in the evenings.  My number is (619) 443-3616.
