"The Historical Society is on the move." A quote Marcy Williams made recently and I have to agree with her. THE GOOD NEWS: The Storage Buildings are now located at Lindo Lake Park next to the Ranger's Office. Help is needed to get them ready for use. Work Parties every Saturday 9:00 A. M. till . . . Lunch will be furnished by members at 12:00 Noon. So come join us in "Preserving our Heritage."
The response was excellent for the Youth Program at our last meeting. Ten members volunteered to work with Mr. Jensen at Lindo Park School in organizing the program.
We are beginning publication of our Newsletter with this issue and plan to continue on a monthly basis. We would like your response and any news items.
Remember 1986 is Lakeside's 100th Birthday. Join us the third Tuesday of every month at the Lakeside Gardens to plan for the celebration.
The Lakeside Community Service Association has been organized with the help of the Parks Department to get the Community Center underway and to bring Social Services and Youth Programs to Lakeside without a Tax Assessment. Meeting time is 7:30 P.M. the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Lindo Park School.
Have you turned in the biography of your family for the History Book to be published in 1985?
